We at Hinterland have had a very busy few months and are incredibly excited to share what we've been working on. The Next Generation of Hinterland!
We've taken everything you know and love about Hinterland and made it even better. From a truly transformative leather upgrade to carefully considered design improvements across our product range, this collection represents our steadfast dedication to beat every other brand on quality, performance and value.
Every detail has been thoughtfully refined with the horses comfort at the forefront, while staying true to the timeless style, durability and craftsmanship that define Hinterland.
Alongside our returning favourites, we've introduced exciting new rein options, enhanced our bridles and breastplates, and have some entirely new designs also on the way.
This is Hinterland, reimagined for the next generation.
Our Biggest Upgrade Yet — The Leather
Beautiful to look at. Exceptional to touch. Made to last.
The foundation of our new season collection is our newly upgraded leather, and it's something we're incredibly proud of.
We've introduced a beautifully soft, supple leather with a luxurious finish that genuinely needs to be felt to be appreciated. Rich in appearance, smooth to the touch and wonderfully flexible, we are proud to make a very big call and introduce this as the finest leather you'll find in equestrian equipment.
But there's far more to it than its beautiful appearance.
Our leather has been carefully selected for its durability, practicality and ease of care. It's easy to clean, designed to withstand the demands of everyday riding and made with a lifetime of use in mind.
It's the kind of quality you notice the moment you pick it up, and continue to appreciate for years to come.
Many of you who know and love Hinterland already may ask "what's brought about this change?"
The answer is consistency. With our previous tannery, we started to notice the leather was no longer always consistent and we were unable to always source the quality of leather needed to ensure the Hinterland products could be crafted to the level our customers (and we as the proud owners of the brand) expected. Twelve months of R and D and a change of tannery, has certainly been challenging, but from this experience, Hinterland has now evolved into a brand that is truly incomparable to any other.
Bridles — The Details Make the Difference
Our signature bridle collection has undergone a series of thoughtful refinements, combining the elegant Hinterland look with an even greater focus on your horse's comfort.
We've introduced softer, more supple padding to our nosebands, offering a beautifully cushioned feel without compromising their refined appearance.
Our Performance Range now features an additional noseband stabiliser, while our Traditional Range retains its classic construction for those who prefer a more conventional design.
We've also added two clever comfort features:

Removable noseband buckle guard: An extra layer of protection beneath the buckle, helping to reduce direct pressure and rubbing.

Removable flash strap padding: Added cushioning beneath the flash strap for a softer, more comfortable fit.
Both features can be easily removed, giving you the flexibility to tailor your bridle to your horse's individual needs.
For a cleaner, more elegant finish, we've refined the profile of our signature noseband T-fitting, allowing it to sit more discreetly against the leather.
And above it all, our anatomical headpiece has been carefully reshaped and resized to promote more even pressure distribution across the poll.
The result? The timeless Hinterland style you love, with refined details that make a meaningful difference.
Reins — Find Your Perfect Feel
Every rider has their own preference when it comes to reins, and we wanted our collection to offer the perfect balance of feel, flexibility and grip.
This season, we're introducing exciting new options alongside one of our long-standing favourites.
Super Soft Leather — Internal Notches
A Hinterland favourite for good reason.
Beautifully supple with discreet internal notches, these reins offer a smooth, traditional appearance and a lovely feel in the hand. Equally at home in the show ring, at competitions or during everyday schooling, they're a timeless and versatile choice.
Super Soft Leather — External Notches
All the elegance of our signature soft leather, with a little extra security.
We've introduced external notches crafted from the same wonderfully supple leather, making them gentle on your fingers rather than stiff or abrasive.
The additional grip is particularly welcome in wet weather, during those warmer rides or whenever you'd appreciate a more secure contact.
Super Grip Rubber Reins — With or Without Notches
The name says it all.
Meet our new Super Grip reins, designed for riders who love the confidence of rubber grip without sacrificing softness or flexibility.
Wonderfully pliable in the hand, they offer exceptional grip while remaining comfortable and easy to hold.

Breastplates — More Adjustable. More Comfortable. Beautifully Refined.
Our classic breastplate collection has also received some exciting updates, with a particular focus on fit, freedom of movement and those small details that make everyday riding easier.
We've introduced soft leather padding beneath the rings for additional comfort against your horse.
The neck straps are now fully adjustable, allowing for a more individual fit across a wider variety of horses, including those tricky in-between sizes.
We've also refined the girth strap attachment to reduce excess strap length between the front legs, creating a tidier, more streamlined finish while retaining its adjustability.
Meet the Checker Lead Rope
Sometimes a fresh design is all about adding a little personality.
Our new Checker Lead Rope brings a distinctive checkered design to a practical everyday essential.
Finished with beautiful leather detailing and a convenient removable clip, it combines the quality you expect from Hinterland with a fresh, modern look.
A little something different, and a lovely addition to your horse's wardrobe.
Super Soft Stirrup Leathers — Back with a Fresh Finish
Our much-loved Super Soft Stirrup Leathers are back in stock!
They retain the flexibility and luxurious feel that made them a favourite, now complemented by updated detailing designed to coordinate beautifully with the rest of our leather collection.
A familiar essential, finished with that extra touch of Hinterland quality.

Two NEW Breastplates
Introducing Our Upcoming 5-Point Breastplate
Currently in production, our new 5-point breastplate has been thoughtfully developed around three important principles: horse comfort, saddle stability and freedom of movement.
Designed for versatility across a wide range of disciplines, it is suitable for both traditional twin-flap and monoflap saddles, offering flexibility to suit different saddle styles and riding preferences.
With comfort and functionality at the forefront, it's an exciting new addition to the Hinterland collection, and we can't wait to share it with you.
A New 2-Point Breastcollar
We're also developing an all-new 2-point breastcollar, carrying through the same considered approach to fit, function and comfort.
We can't wait to show you both of these new designs.
Girths & Stud Guards Reimagined
Our girths and stud guards are also being redefined and elevated.
We've revisited the styling, proportions and fit of these much-loved pieces, and introduced carefully considered adjustments aimed at improving comfort for the horse.
As always, we've stayed true to the classic Hinterland aesthetic, combining beautiful craftsmanship with practical, purposeful design.

Saddle Blankets — Your Favourites, Reimagined
We listened to what you loved about our previous saddle blankets and set out to make them even better.
Our upcoming collection brings enhanced breathability, improved security under the saddle and additional wither clearance, helping create a more comfortable, considered fit.
All while maintaining the beautiful finish and understated style that makes a Hinterland saddle blanket instantly recognisable.
