Tayla's had a great autumn!

Tayla Mason, one of our two Hinterland sponsored riders in Eventing, has just sent through her latest update letting us know what she's been up to...  she has some very classy young horses on the rise!

Dear Hinterland,

Just a quick update, May and June has been a great month with lots of training, a few training show, a few shows and a few canceled shows....

Our May New Zealand Squad Camp was a highlight. Penny Castle, Tracy Smith and Jock Paget coached us over two days, along with a lecture on goal setting and budgeting. Overall I had some great learnings and the coaches were very happy with my progress.

Jock also met me at home to guide me from where is begins - training and living at home! He had some great tips on how to move forward and have lots of success in my career. Jock was very impressed with my young stock.

Apart from the extreme weather patterns during our time at the Taupo Three Day, the event proved to be great for me and my team. Chase (Centennial) kicking off the show in the top four of every category of the young event horse, placing first in the cross country section and finishing sixth overall. Roger (The Innkeeper) had a great performance, especially when considering how many outings he has had lately! Roger picked up a ribbon for 8th in the CNC105.

Cheers
Tayla
